Original Works from the 17th and 18th Centuries. The second volume of this anthology series contains 25 original works by composers of the 17th and 18th centuries, transcribed for guitar by co-author Stuart Willis. Including pieces by Corbetta, Falkenhagen, Gallot and Weiss, amongst others, it offers a wide stylistic range of works, many of which are rarely available. The collection is accompanied by a CD recording of all pieces performed by Jens Franke, and is suitable for students of c.4-5 years of playing experience, or those of grades 3-4 level (UK and Commonwealth). The book also includes composer biographies and teaching notes on each of the pieces.
